In 1993, AJ Haider moved his family from Minnesota to New Mexico (that’s right, from MN to NM) where he became the Engineering and IT Manager at McKinley Paper Company. He began Haider Consulting in the fall of 1995 and has not looked back since.
We are a local family-owned business with a team of IT professionals who enjoy what we do. We are one of very few IT companies who have Certified Cyber Security engineers on staff. This means we are security conscious and committed to keeping your business data safe.
Our experience includes working with large corporations, small businesses, and multi-generational family owned businesses. Being a family-owned business ourselves, we understand how important peace of mind is to business owners. Ali (AJ) Haider
Sr. Engineer
The brains of the operation. Ali has been in IT and Cyber Security for over thirty years, working for all sizes of companies before settling down into what we now call… the family business. We’re not the mafia, promise. Ali holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and has achieved certifications including A+, Network+, Security+, and CySA+ (which basically means he’s the smartest guy we know). Ali is what we call a social butterfly, who loves helping people, building knowledge, and growing relationships with those around him. He spends much of his free time with his family, hiking, birding, wine tasting, and enjoying classic British television. Be wary: he’ll tell a joke with a straight face. Often.

Anthony Haider
Systems Analyst
Anthony is the primary systems analyst of Haider Consulting: basically, the guy who does a little bit of everything. Need an email account set up? How about a VPN? Have a problem that needs troubleshooting? Just want to make sure everything’s running the way it should be? Anthony’s your guy. He’s also our main website manager and is probably the person you’ll first hear from when you fill out our contact form. In his spare time, Anthony and his wife, Julie, do a little bit of everything, from camping and Jeeping to collecting board games (80 different games, and counting!)

Karen Haider
Office Manager
Karen is the office manager extraordinaire of Haider Consulting, which essentially means she’s the one who keeps the boys in check. She often spends her time playing in the dirt (growing peppers and tomatoes and flowers, oh my!), and exploring the Albuquerque Open Spaces. Her real passion, however, is found in cooking and entertaining—and she especially loves trying a new recipe, and not really following it anyway.
